Mai Chau offers a high level of comfort, with 16 well appointed ensuite rooms, swimming pool, spa, an excellent restaurant serving local and international dishes, a fully stocked bar and lobby caf. It is the first alternative to home stays in an area that’s visited by few tourists.
Activities during the two-day stay include a cycling tour or walking trek through the lush valley of Mai Chau where local hilltribes plant rice and herd buffalos, a trek to the nearby Thai villages of Pom Coong and Lac with handicraft shopping, a buffalo cart ride, a trip to a private cave that was a military base during the Vietnam war and a sumptuous Vietnamese dinner with traditional dancing.
